Three Shipments, Deeper Each Time: Qianding Electric Powers Zimbabwe

In the factory area, machines roar and cranes shuttle back and forth. Another batch of diesel generator sets with different power ratings has completed all factory tests, been fitted with waterproof covers, and now stands ready to depart for Zimbabwe—thousands of miles away across the African continent.

This marks the third bulk delivery from Qianding Electric to customers in Zimbabwe since our first entry into the local market in 2025. From the cautious attempt of the first unit to the strengthened trust behind this third batch, a cooperation map spanning the Indian Ocean is steadily unfolding.

Why Zimbabwe?

Zimbabwe is located in southeastern Africa and is rich in mineral resources such as gold, nickel, chromium, coal, and more. In recent years, the country has continued to make efforts in mining, infrastructure, agricultural processing, and related fields. However, local power supply remains constrained by outdated infrastructure and foreign exchange shortages, making frequent power outages and unstable voltage a common pain point.

Whether it is a crusher in a mine, an electric grinder in a beneficiation plant, a cold-chain warehouse on a farm, or an operating room in a hospital—a diesel generator set that can start at any time and deliver continuous, stable output is often the boundary between production and stagnation, safety and risk.

Three Supplies, Each More In-Depth Than the Last

  • First Supply – December 2025: A batch of units ranging from 100 kW to 1000 kW was delivered to a medium-sized mine for night crushing operations. Customer feedback: “More fuel-efficient than local units of the same power, with lower noise at full load.”
  • Second Supply – April 2026: The customer voluntarily placed an additional order for three units, deployed separately in the beneficiation plant and the camp. Our after-sales engineers provided remote video guidance for installation, and all machines were successfully commissioned on the first attempt.
  • Third Supply – June 2026: The customer returned once again to purchase multiple units for new expansion projects and backup system upgrades. Prior to shipment, we carried out special adaptations including moisture-proof and anti-rust treatment, reinforced export wooden crates, and bilingual Chinese–English control panels.

The reputation of “Made in China” in Africa is not built on price—it is built on performance. During a video inspection, the customer manager shared a remark that left a deep impression on us:

“I used to buy cheap second-hand units. Their downtime lasted longer than their uptime. Your machines are reliable—even after long-term use, I never need to pick up a wrench.”
